BOARD OF PUBLICATIONS
Meeting Minutes
March 3, 2008

The teleconference meeting was called to order with Cindy Van Winkle standing in as chair at approximately 9:10pm (EDT). Other members present were: Ken Stewart, Jenine Stanley, DeAnna Noriega; ex oficio members: Barry Levine, Ron Milliman; ACB Staff: Sharon Lovering;

The Board of Publications welcomed Barry Levine as the newly appointed representative of the Internet Oversight Committee.

Hollis Ligget Award
The BOP discussed the entries and score sheets. DeAnna Noriega moved that the totals from the score sheets be sent to Paul Edwards and that the highest scoring entry, determined by averaging all submitted scores for each affiliate submitting entries, be designated as the 2008 winner, and that the Chair be encouraged to give honorable mention to the other entries. The motion was seconded and approved.

Approval of Minutes
Ken Stewart moved to approve the January minutes as submitted. The motion was seconded and carried.

Ken reported that the presentation to the affiliates at the recent Presidents' meeting was well received.

Cindy asked Ken if he had heard Anything about reimbursements for BOP members at the summer convention. He had not and the group decided to ask Paul to check on this matter and report back.

The BOP decided to allow Paul to come up with some options for the next meeting and get back with the group.

DeAnna moved to adjourn the meeting at 9:50pm EDT. The motion was seconded and carried.

Respectfully submitted,
Jenine Stanley,
Recording Secretary
